Grid-tie is simpler than the pitch deck.
Solar panels make DC. An inverter makes AC for the house. Extra power goes to the grid; at night you buy some back. A battery is optional.
Production depends on where you live more than on the brand name on the glass. SolarNerdz uses typical kWh per kW for your state — the same idea as NREL PVWatts, labeled as an estimate.
How many solar panels fit is a geometry problem: roof area, pitch, setbacks, vents, and which faces see sun. The playground sizes a first estimate from your address and electric bill; roof knobs stay optional under Advanced.
Installed cost starts at about $2.75/W, with a $2.25–$3.25/W band. That is a national ballpark, not a local bid.
