SolarNerdz is an education playground with an optional matching layer. Homeowners play first. If they leave an email, we geocode the home and invite Google’s top 3 rated solar install companies within 100 miles. Everyone else never sees that lead. Those three may bid; at most three ever get customer contact. You never see which shops were invited or who bid. Shops do not see each other.
The invited three can bid for 12 hours ($25 minimum). At close, the high bidder unlocks name, email, and phone and quotes first — they pay their winning bid. The other two invited shops each pay $25 and unlock 4 days later. If the window ends with zero bids, those same three get contact 4 days from open. Before unlock: town and system only. If you are outbid, your shop gets town, system, the leading bid, and a desk link — never the other shop’s name. Homeowners hear from the first shop in about 24 hours; follow-on quotes can arrive for up to 4 days. Open a bid email, Log in or Sign up, place your bid, then pay $25 with Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Questions are on the Contacts page.
Only your shop is labeled as you. You will not see other companies’ names, emails, or shop codes. The bid list shows amounts, another bidder, and the leading bid — never who.
If nobody is in range, we tell the homeowner that and still store the request — without naming shops.
How to open the desk
Your invite email has a Place your bid link and your shop code. We do not publish other companies’ names, emails, or codes on this page. After you sign in, only your shop is labeled as you.
